Empowering African Youth Through Dance

Join us in making a powerful impact on African youth through dance

The funds we raise will directly empower children and youth by providing them with exceptional international dance skills, enriching their cultural exposure. Through dance, children will master teamwork, focus, and collaboration. It also gives them the tools to truly understand their own potential. Engaging in fine arts like dance not only fosters creativity but also sharpens communication and critical thinking skills essential for their growth.

At Friends of African Youth Development and Dance, we know that change starts with people like you. Please help us to support the Liberian Ballroom Dance Sport Federation. The LBDS Federation is seeking donations to send its team to the South African Achievers and National Championships in December 2025. Competition details:

  • What: The South African Achievers and National Championships is a flagship dance event for the Federation of Dance Sport South Africa.

  • When: December 12–13, 2025.

  • Where: The Station, Durban, South Africa.

  • Significance: The competition gives dancers the opportunity to compete for national honors and qualify to represent their country at World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF) World Championships in 2026.

Fundraising goal:
The Liberian team needs to raise $22,000 by November 30, 2025 to fund the trip for their 5 youth dancer champions and 2 teachers (Linda & Nehemiah).

How the funds will be used:
The money raised will cover essential expenses for the dancers, including travel, registration fees, costumes, and dance shoes. An additional $2,500 is needed to send a parent chaperone with the team.

How you can help:

  1. Donate: Every dollar counts. Contribute now to help us reach our goal.

  2. Share: Share our campaign with your friends, family, and on social media. Your advocacy can amplify our impact.
